He was born in Brooklyn, New York, on December 14, 1943, to the late Laura Prunitis and Robert Nathan Marascia. John R. Sheahan, age 80 of Ridge, passed away on September 23, 2026. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5, from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Alexander-Rothwell Funeral Home, located at 6447 Route 25A, Wading River, NY. Mary Shanley of Wading River died unexpectedly at her home on August 30, 2026.  She was 85 years old.  She was the daughter of Edward and Margaret Carr, and grew up in Marine Park, Brooklyn.  She graduated in 1961 from St. Vincent’s School of Nursing in Manhattan.  She continued to work there until she moved to Wading River in 1966 where she then worked for the next 40 years as a Registered Nurse at Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson.  Later in her ...

Leonard Moore of Wading River died peacefully at home on August 7, 2026. He was 86 years old. He was the son of Alfred E. Moore and Theresa (Podsiadlo). He graduated Half Hollow Hills H.S. in 1958, where he was a stellar athlete in football, basketball and baseball. He was a leader in every sport. On August 4, 1962, he married Lois Broman.
