Willis Jay Fremont

Willis J Fremont (Bill), 78, of Wading River, NY, passed away on November 16th, 2023. He was born in Queens, NY to Bernard and Bess Fremont. 

Bill was predeceased by his Father Bernard Fremont and Mother Bess Fremont. He is survived by his Wife Dianne Fremont, Brother Michael Fremont, First Wife Connie Lichtenstein, Daughters Jennifer Fremont and Rachel Falletta, Grandchildren Evan Falletta, Benjamin Falletta, and Jacob Ryder, and Step-Daughters Nicole Virdone and Andrea Cyr. He is also survived by his beloved dog Gracie and cat Shirley. 

Bill’s affection for animals and his passion for music was well known to everyone who knew him. He was a music instructor for Longwood Central School District where he taught band for 33 years before retiring in 2008. In retirement he never stopped making music. He could often be seen strumming one of his many guitars, playing on a keyboard, or even tapping an imaginary drum. 

A memorial service for Bill will be held at the Alexander-Rothwell Funeral home in Wading River on Monday, November 20th from 7pm-9pm. Shiva will be held on Tuesday from Noon-7pm at Bill and Dianne’s home in Wading River; and again on Wednesday from 2pm-8pm at Rachel’s home.
