Sabina Mary Ericksen

Sabina Mary Ericksen of Ridge, NY passed on to the next life on May 4, 2023 at the age of 95. Sabina was born October 9, 1927 to Nora (Gray) and James Morris. She is preceded in death by her sister Theresa and brother Patrick. She is survived by her children, Gregory James Albers, Linda Jeanne O’Neill, Kathryn Marie Albers, Sabina Mary Albers, Arthur John Albers, Jr., Susan Nora Albers, many grandchildren and great grandchildren and long-time companion and friend, Evelyn Karabulut. Sabina was mother of six, but also was an accomplished ‘human computer’, school teacher and, after obtaining her bachelor of science degree, had a long, rich career as a histologist in the pathology department at King’s County Hospital, New York. She was a mentor to many, sharing her extensive knowledge and skill set with many trainees. Sabina loved life and all of its mysteries. Books on science, history, archaeology and sharing knowledge with her family and friends were her passions. She was generous and kind and loved the natural world, caring for and nurturing many small animals during her lifetime. Her independent spirit, smile, generosity and passion for life will always be cherished and remembered.
