Robert A. Pieloch

Robert A. Pieloch, who was born on July 11, 1947, in Manhattan, New York, and passed away on June 27, 2026, in Port Jefferson, New York, lived a life marked by devotion, service, and kindness. He was known by those who loved him as a loving, friendly, and courageous man whose presence brought comfort and strength to family and friends,

Robert was the beloved son of  Bronslaw Pieloch and Helen Theresa Gaul. He carried the values of hard work, loyalty, and compassion throughout his life, and those values were reflected in the way he treated others. He was a man who met life with steady resolve and a generous spirit, and he remained deeply connected to the people and places that shaped him.

He earned an Associate’s Degree, a milestone that reflected his commitment to learning and personal growth. Robert went on to serve his community as a police officer with the NYPD, assigned to the 28th Precinct in Harlem, New York. In that role, he dedicated himself to protecting others and upholding the responsibilities of public service. His work required courage, discipline, and a strong sense of duty, qualities that he demonstrated throughout his career. He was respected for his professionalism and for the calm, reassuring presence he brought to those around him.

He leaves behind a legacy of service and compassion that will be remembered with gratitude and affection. Robert’s life touched many, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to share in his journey. His family, friends, and former colleagues will remember him not only for what he accomplished, but for the kind of man he was.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist on August 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends will gather to honor Robert’s life, celebrate his memory, and give thanks for the many ways he enriched the lives of others. Though he is no longer present in body, the love, strength, and example he leaves behind will remain a lasting comfort to all who knew him.
