Peter John Vibert

Peter John Vibert, born October 2, 1943, in England, passed away on December 15, 2025. He was the beloved son of Arthur Charles Henry Vibert and Gwen Jones. Peter died peacefully at Richmond University Hospital in Staten Island.

Pastor Vibert devoted his life to faith, service, and community. As Pastor of the Wading River Congregational Church in Wading River, he guided his congregation with compassion, wisdom, and unwavering dedication. His presence in the pulpit and in the lives of those he served will be remembered with deep gratitude.

A funeral service honoring Pastor Vibert’s life will be held at the Wading River Congregational Church on Saturday, December 20, at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Wading River Cemetery.

Following the burial, the family warmly invites all attendees to return to the church for refreshments and an opportunity to share fond memories of Pastor Vibert and the many ways he touched the lives of others.
