Patricia Ann Merendino

Patricia (Patty) A. Merendino, age 65 of Shoreham, New York, passed away on February 12, 2023. Patty was an exceptionally loving wife, mother, grandmother, sibling, and aunt. She is survived by her devoted husband, Ben, her two sons, Chris (Lauren) and Tony (Kacie), and her four grandchildren, Arden, Giada, Lennon, and Rafael. Patty was one of eight close and loving siblings, Mike (Pat), Nancy (Al), Kathy (Russ), Dennis (Cathy), Andy (Kathleen), Danny (Rachel), and Colleen (Mike), and sister-in-law to Judy and Arty (Cathy). Patty took an active and loving role in the lives of her many nieces and nephews to whom she loved being an aunt. She was predeceased by her Mother, Ann, and Father, Robert.

Patty was a passionate librarian with a love for reading and teaching. She enjoyed things that allowed her to share joy with others, including holidays, gardening, and children. She loved family parties and music and dancing. Above all, her life is marked by love and compassion. She had a giving soul and found her purpose in helping others. She has left a lasting impression on so many lives and will be fondly remembered as a beautiful example of empathy, understanding, and kindness.
