Michael J. Kruckel, Jr.

Michael “Mike” Kruckel, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on December 25, 2024, at the age of 80. Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, Michael was a distinguished restaurateur who owned and operated several establishments, including the Island Squire in Middle Island, NY, Mike's Place in Coram, NY, Mike's Place Too in Mastic, NY, and Mike's Place Three in Bennington, Vermont.

He is survived by his devoted wife Margaret, along with his daughters Jennifer and Jessica,  his son Richard, as well as his son-in-law’s John, Jonathan and daughter-in-law Karyn. Additionally he leaves behind his cherished grandchildren Jacob, Cole, Caleigh, Jordan, and Liliana. Michael was a lifelong sports enthusiast and was renowned for his caring, generous and fun-loving nature. His contagious laughter brought joy to family gatherings and social events alike. His absence will be profoundly felt by all who knew and loved him.
