Laura Alice Obradovich was born in Manhattan on December 26, 1939 to Evelyn and John Malakie. She died at the age of 81 on June 25, 2022. She lived a wonderful and long life in Wading River on Long Island, New York and left a legacy filled with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She survived the love of her life George Obradovich. She was survived by two siblings Christey Arnold and Timothy Malakie and two children, David (Karen) Obradovich and Denise (William deceased) D'Ambrosia. From her two children, two siblings, and their spouses, she became an Aunt to three nieces and one nephew and a grandmother to four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Throughout Laura's entire life she inspired children of all ages. All through those years as a teacher she served every grade level in the William Floyd School District, a pride she felt throughout all of her years. She also spent a wonderful part of her life traveling around the country and world with her husband George Obradovich. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
All who wish to attend her services may come celebrate her life at Alexander Rothwell's 6445 Route 25A, Wading River, NY 11792 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM on June 28, 2022.
Funeral services will be held at the Mount Pleasant Crematorium 43 Main Street, Center Moriches, NY 11934 on June 29,2022 at 2:15 PM.
Burial of cremains will take place at Wading River Cemetery on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 11:00AM.
