Kathleen Vanderhyde

Kathleen Vanderhyde was born on November 9, 1955 at Brunswick Hospital in Amityville. Kathleen passed away on July 5, 2022. She is survived by her two older brothers Edward and Charles; her nieces Mary Kate and Carolyn; her two grand nieces Josephine and Grace; and two grand nephews, James and Charles.

Kathy was a Eucaristic Minister and Usher for years at Our Lady of Mercy Parish in Hicksville. She loved mystery and romance novels, game shows, Cathy comics, Goofy, cats and learning more about her Irish ancestry and even visited Ireland. Her favorite color was Kelly Green. She was a friendly person who befriended many. She worked for Gilison Knitwear Company for over twenty years as a Payroll Administrator and at Lowes in Hicksville as a cashier and loss prevention associate.

Kathy will be missed by the many friends and family, whose lives she touched.

Her wake services will be held on Sunday July 10, 2022 at 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Alexander-Rothwell Funeral Home in Wading River, NY. A Mass will take place for her on July 11th at 10:00 am at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Wading River, NY.
