Kathleen Ann Heaney

   Mrs. Kathleen Ann Heaney age 84 of Highland Trace Blairsville passed away peacefully on Thursday June 27,2024 at Stonehenge Assisted Living following an extended illness. Mrs. Heaney was born on February 25,1940 in New York, NY., the daughter of the late Patrick Kelly and the late Elizabeth Reilly Kelly. Kathleen was a loving and caring mother, sister and grandmother. Her family meant the world to her. She loved learning new things and was very active in genealogy and Ancestry.com. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Donald Heaney in 2006. Mrs. Heaney was of the Catholic faith.

   Surviving Mrs. Heaney are two sons and daughters in law, Donald and Rachel Heaney of Pompton Plains, NJ., Brian and Charlotte Heaney of Chengo Forks, NY., one daughter, Lauren Heaney of Brookhaven, NY., one brother and sister in law, Kevin and Claire Kelly of Wilmington, NC., four grandchildren, Julie, Emma, Brendan and Joseph, many other relatives and friends also survive.

   A services will be held on Wednesday, July 3rd at the Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, NY. The family will meet with friends at the Alexander Roth Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 2nd from 6-9 PM. Interment will follow in the Calverton National Cemetery on the next day where she will rest with her beloved husband Gilbert.
