Josephine A. Capone, of Wading River, New York, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026, at the age of 98. Born on March 14, 1927, in Brooklyn, New York, she was the beloved daughter of Luigi Burgio and Catherine Calandra.

Josephine lived a long, full life marked by devotion to her family and deep pride in her roots. She was a loving mother to Frank Capone and Kathleen Drago, whose lives were shaped by her strength, warmth, and unwavering support. She was cherished by her seven grandchildren and fourteen great‑grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on February 10, 2026, from 6–8 PM at Alexander Rothwell Funeral Home, 6447 Route 25A, Wading River, NY.

A Funeral Mass will be held on February 11, 2026, at 9:30 AM at St. John the Baptist Church, Wading River.

Josephine will be laid to rest at Calverton National Cemetery, following the service.

Her legacy lives on in the generations she nurtured, the values she instilled, and the love she shared so generously.
