Jeane Boenig Obituary

Jeane Ann Morpurgo Boenig of Wading River passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2022. She was 88 years old.

Jeane was born on January 21, 1934 in Patchogue to Harold and Mary (Marie) Morpurgo. She was a dedicated nurse with more than 20 years of her career spent at St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson. Jeane was also a volunteer for Hospice and St. John the Baptist R.C. Church.

Jeane married the love of her life, Robert Boenig, on September 29, 1956 and they raised their family of six daughters in Wading River. She was a beloved mother, wife, grandmother, and sister, and her tough love and great sense of humor was cherished by her family.

Jeane was predeceased by her parents, her husband Bob, siblings Joan Harrison, Harold Morpurgo II, and Richard Morpurgo, son-in-law David Kozlowski, and grandchild Justin Domino. She is survived by her siblings Robert Morpurgo and June Morpurgo, daughters Brenda Boenig-Taegder, Paula Rammer, Lora Padilla (Ralph), Georgia Boenig-Stasiukiewicz, Barbara Boenig-Kozlowski, and Sheila Boenig-Domino, as well as 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A Memorail Mass will take place Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 11:00AM at St. John the Baptist RC Church in Wading River.
