Irwin Elliott, a proud Navy veteran, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away surrounded by the love of his family.
Irwin shared a beautiful 65-year marriage with his beloved wife, Ann Elliott. Together they built a life centered on family, loyalty, and countless memories.
He was the proud father of three sons: Mark Elliott and his spouse Kathleen, John Elliott and his spouse Stacey, and Scott Elliott and his spouse Sherry.
Irwin was a loving grandfather to six grandchildren—Sean, Alyssa, Cady, Samantha, Ryan, and Brooke—who brought him tremendous joy. To them, he was not only Grandpa but also a storyteller and teacher. His grandchildren often joked that “Grandpa knows everything,” a testament to the endless knowledge and wisdom he loved sharing with them.
Irwin was proud of his Scottish heritage and carried that pride throughout his life. He had a deep love for skiing, travel, and nature, and he was a passionate fan of the New York Jets and the New York Islanders.
After a successful career in sales, Irwin found his true calling as a travel tour guide with Prime Time Travel. He cherished the opportunity to explore the country and share fascinating pieces of American history with travelers. His enthusiasm and storytelling made every trip memorable. Even beyond his work, his tour guide spirit continued at home as he eagerly shared stories, history, and life lessons with his grandchildren.
Irwin will be remembered for his warmth, humor, knowledge, and the deep love he had for his family. His legacy lives on through his devoted wife, children, grandchildren, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church followed by burial with Military Honors at Calverton National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Irwin’s memory may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
