Gary Cygan

Gary Michael Cygan Sr.,  passed peacefully in his home April 28, 2024. A retired heavy equipment operator from NYC  Dept. Of Sanitation. He was a  Funny, loving, devoted husband father & grandfather who loved being the life of every party, making people laugh, & performing magic tricks. Preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Regina J. Cygan. Gary leaves  behind his son Gary Cygan (Candi), Daughter Alicia Hammel (Haywood),  brothers Paul Cygan (Pauline), Robert Cygan (Rosemary), sisters Dorothy Moskowitz (David), Mary Ruziecki (Larry), Sandra Fredd (Michael), Goddaughter Andrea Ann Simon, & Grandchildren Hunter, Alexis, & Abriella who he adored. Numerous nieces, nephews, and friends, all who he loved unconditionally. He is also preceded in death by his father James V. Padrone, and brothers James Davenport, Anthony Padrone, John Cygan & Vincent Padrone.

Gary loved camping, going on cruises, & entertaining. Most of all he loved being around family.
Reposing May 3rd 2pm-4pm, and 7pm-9pm, at Alexander-Rothwell 6447 Route 25A Wading River NY 11792 .
Celebration of Mass May 4th at 11am at St. John The Baptist RC Church, 1488 North Country Road, Wading River, NY 11792.
Burial immediately to follow Pinelawn Memorial Park. 2030 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735
