Francis John O'Neil

Francis John O'Neil passed away on September 2, 2021 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Port Jefferson. Francis attended Wantagh High School and graduated in 1959. From there Francis entered The United States Navy and served 4 years active duty and remained in the Navy Reserves. He then went on to join the NYPD until his retirement in 1987 where he earned the rank of Lieutenant from the 113 Precinct. 

Francis is survived by his wife Violet, daughters Rosemarie Olsson and Heather O'Neil, son Francis James O'Neil, son-in-law William J. Olsson, daughter-in-law Desiree O'Neil, grandsons William J. Olsson, Jr., Bryan Francis Olsson, granddaughters Madeline O'Neil and Natalie O'Neil.

Francis was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus.

In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in honor of Francis to Wounded Warrior Project and Good Shepherd Hospice in Port Jefferson, NY.
