Frances A. Monaghan

June 20, 1928 - March 8, 2022

Frances passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022. Born in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NY, Frances (Mack) Monaghan was raised in Rocky Point and Port Jefferson, NY from the early 1930's.

She graduated from Port Jefferson High School and worked for The Long Island Lighting Company. In 1958 she married Robert L. Monaghan.  They bought their home in Shoreham, NY, where they raised their family and remained until Robert's retirement.  Frances was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker.  She enjoyed travel, and camped extensively.  She was quite a skillful gardener.  She and Robert moved to Salisbury, MD in 1998, to a home nestled in 13 heavily wooded acres. Frances took much joy in decorating their new home, and was thrilled to be surrounded by wildlife.  In 2012 they returned to Long Island, settling in Ridge, NY.  Frances is survived by her husband  Robert, daughters Kathleen Monaghan of Ridge, Ellen Kaspar of Shoreham, and grandsons Erik and Adam Kaspar.
