Dorothy V. Gibbons

Dorothy 'Dottie' Gibbons passed away on October 23, 2024. She was 82 years old.  She was born in Port Jefferson, NY on July 17th 1942, to Vera and John Remiszewski.  She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Rich Gibbons.  She is survived by her son, Rich Gibbons, wife Barbara Gibbons and their three daughters Melissa, Rebecca and Amanda; her daughter Cheryl Makoske and her two sons Alexander and Zachary.  Dottie was better known as 'Mimi'.  Anyone that knew Dottie knew that the most important people in the world were her 5 grandchildren.  Mimi was an avid Knicks fan and never missed a game!  She was truly one of a kind and will be missed.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 27, from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM at Alexander-Rothwell Funeral Home, located at 6447 Route 25A, Wading River, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, October 28, at 10 AM at St. John the Baptist R.C. Church in Wading River. Interment will follow at St. Isidore's Cemetery, Riverhead, NY.
