Donna Siegmund passed away peacefully on May 30, 2026, from acute respiratory failure.Born in Rockville Centre, New York, Donna grew up in Fort Salonga on Long Island. She was the cherished daughter of the late Royal Siegmund and stepmother Viola Siegmund, both remembered as exceptionally kind and wonderful people.Donna dedicated her professional life to the care of others, working for many years as a compassionate Registered Nurse. After a fulfilling career, she retired to Leland, North Carolina, where she enjoyed spending time in her beautiful home.Though she battled many serious health issues over the years, Donna was a fighter who always seemed to bounce back with grace and strength. While she did not have the strength to overcome this final battle, her resilient spirit remains an inspiration.Donna had an extraordinarily kind heart and a deep love for her family. Over the past 15 years, she shared a profound and special bond with her cousin, Brad, and his wife, Patty. To Brad, she was far more than a cousin; she was a sister. Their regular visits and shared moments brought immense joy to Donna’s life, and she loved them and their family unconditionally. Donna also shared a long term relationship with Bob case , with whom she cared very deeply.Her warmth, generosity, and loving nature will be deeply missed by Brad, Patty, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
