Daniel Joseph Testa of Long Island, NY left this earth on Christmas Day, 2025 at the age of 92 to be with his beloved wife in heaven. Danny, a Korean War Veteran, is survived by his loving family -- daughter Cathy Testa and son-in-law Richard Ellis, daughter Michele Testa and son-in-law Gerald Simone, son and daughter-in-law Anthony and Andrea Testa, granddaughters Carolyn and Christina Carasiti and Amy Kitz, grandsons Cliff and Michael Kitz, David Anthony Carasiti, and Daniel, Ryan and Alex Testa, great-grandchildren Gianna, Hailey, Avery and Michael Kitz, Ryleigh and Cora Carasiti, and Amy’s twin babies in utero. Born May 30, 1933 to the late Anthony and Catherine (Balderose) Testa of Newark, NJ. He leaves behind his beloved brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Terri Testa, of Las Vegas, NV whom he loved dearly; nephew, David Testa and niece, Karen Testa Gabriele; many cousins, his Aunt Doris, and an abundance of loving family members by marriage. He joins his beloved wife of 61 years, Constance DiCarlo Testa and nephew Kenneth Testa, in heaven. Danny worked as a computer programmer at General Motors in NYC for over 20 years, where he took pride in giving his young children a birds-eye-view of the Thanksgiving Day Parade from his office on 5th Avenue. In 1973, at the urging of his wife and with the help of his in-laws, Danny moved his family from Ridgewood, NJ to Wading River, NY, changed careers and went into the Italian deli business -- Uncle Danny’s/Pastosa Ravioli -- where he spent 23 years making fresh mozzarella, ravioli and sausages. He was known and adored by everyone as Uncle Danny. He brought happiness with him wherever he went. He was always cheerful, the first to laugh at a joke or himself, and constantly entertaining the young ones with his antics. He appreciated a good card game be it poker, canasta or brisk, though he was never a big winner. His great delight was being with family, especially, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a kind, gentle and loyal man with an infectious laugh, loud voice and open heart. He will be missed by all.
