Carla Conklin

Carla Conklin, age 88, passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 1, 2025. 

Born in Nieblum auf Föhr Germany, Carla came to America in 1954. She wed John Conklin in 1956 and had three children, Karen (John DeFranza) Debbie (Tom Boyd) and John (Valerie nee Ross). She is an Oma to4 and Great Grandma to 3. 

Carla enjoyed bowling, singing, crafting, playing cards, spending time with family and friends and of course a glass of red wine! She always had a smile on her face and welcomed everyone. She was very active in the Fohrer U. Amrumer group from Plattduetsche Park and the Children's Medical Fund. 

Carla will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. 

A small service will be held at 11:30 Friday Dec. 5th at Calverton National Cemetery located in Calverton, NY, with a luncheon to follow at Desmond's Restaurant in Wading River. All are welcome.
